50 States
The United States has been and will continue to be in various states of realization. In the midst of the pandemic, during ongoing police and racial violence against African Americans and other people of color, after the siege on the capitol, during a time of bitter division within the country, 50 States was created as a reflection of the current condition of the United States. This suite of prints is comprised of individual images from a video I created of the American flag in various states of dissolve, noise, and collapse. As this suite of prints suggests, there is no resolution, only continued evolution.
