Postcard, 2006 is composed of humdreds of postcards purchased from all over New York City in a period of several months. Andy Warhol's 1964 film Empire serves as the structural model for Postcard. Each image of the Empire State Building served as a frame in the animation. The resulting video is the antithesis of Warhol's film in duration and pace. Postcard also touches on the Empire State Building's celebrity and the mediated experience of this landmark.
