Warfare Riddim 2, 2005

I appropriated graphic images from the cover of DJ Spooky's 1998 CD Riddim Warfare for my animation Warfare Riddim (version 2), 2005. Aliens in the style of the 1980's video game Space Invaders are bombing lower Manhattan and the Twin Towers on DJ Spooky's CD cover. I responded to this image by isolating the explosions and having them morph into one another creating an endless explosion that suggest the cyclical nature of war while obliquely referencing the
9-11 attacks.
